South Norfolk Symphonic Band was established in 1974, to involve and educate young people in music and performance. Nowadays, we are a mixed ability charity band, with over 40 members aged between 10 and 70+.
The band are looking for an experienced, friendly, and enthusiastic musical director to lead the band following their AGM in November. The band rehearse on Tuesdays 7-9pm, in Diss, South Norfolk. The successful candidate will pass audition with the band, and will be paid for their time for rehearsals and concerts (on a self-employed basis, this is role will not be considered an employee of the band). Role will be paid £50 per rehearsal and £100 per concert. Rehearsals are 2 hours, but the Director will be expected to arrive abut 6.30/45pm to help set up and prepare. Concerts are usually evenings, around 3 hours including setup.

Job Requirements
Experience in conducting.
Experience in brass/symphonic/wind bands or similar ensembles.
