Flute

Southampton Concert Orchestra is currently looking for a flute3/piccolo player to join the orchestra.  We rehearse on Sunday evenings from 7pm to 9.30pm in Eastleigh, Hampshire.  We are one of the leading amateur orchestras in the South, playing regularly at Romsey Abbey, Turner Sims, Thornden Hall and Sir Harold Hillier Gardens. Recent repertoire has included Shostakovich 7, Scriabin's Poem of Ecstasy, Lutoslawski Symphonic Variations, Dvorak 9, Rachmaninov 2 etc.  We are a friendly and ambitious orchestra who will be celebrating our 60th anniversary in 2024.  Performances of Mahler 7 and Petrouchka are planned.
