Description of vacancy:
The orchestra is always on the lookout for competent players of Grade 8 and above in standard with experience of playing in a large symphony orchestra.
The orchestra rehearses in a concentrated burst in the three weeks before an event, including string sectionals. Attendance at all rehearsals, or (with permission) as many as possible, is expected, as well as bringing your own stand. Admission is usually by way of an informal audition with the Music Director and orchestra leader.
