Dalgarno Singers

The Dalgarno Singers is a Thornhill-based choir which formed in 1974 and now has about 26 members. Our name comes from the old settlement, Dalgarno or Dalgarnock, where Thornhill(Dumfries and Galloway) now stands. We sing a mixture of traditional songs (folk tunes and such as those of Burns), classical choral works (typically Haydn, Handel, Mozart, Rutter and Schubert), and show tunes (recently from Guys and Dolls, West Side Story). Each rehearsal is conducted by our Music Director and our Accompanist.
