Darlington Orchestra will present a wide-ranging programme of light classical pieces of music including a selection from the Opera 'Die Meistersinger'; early music by Henry Purcell; folk dances and a Slavonic Rhapsody; plus a lively march by Eric Coates.
Special guests to be announced. A printed programme will be available for concert-goers with brief explanations about the music and composers, with a version specially for 5- to 11-year-olds.
Conductor David Plews said: “Our informal but informative style of presentation means you'll have a great night of live music whether it's your first or 101st orchestral concert! I look forward to welcoming you to Central Hall.”
