Musical Director: Highgate Choral Society

Highgate Choral Society, one of the oldest choirs in the UK with currently around 180 members, is known for performing a challenging and diverse programme, ranging from pieces in the standard repertory to contemporary choral works.

Following the sad recent death of Ronald Corp OBE, who had been at the helm for over 40 years, HCS is now recruiting a new Musical Director to start in January 2026.
The successful candidate will be an outstanding choral and orchestral conductor with a proven track record of leading amateur choirs. They will be passionate about inspiring singers to achieve the highest musical standards, devising engaging and imaginative concert programmes, and developing the choir’s membership, reach, and reputation.

Experience of working with professional orchestras and soloists, and a strong network within the wider musical community, will be highly valued.
