Tim Kliphuis Trio

Currently in its 18th year of touring, the multi-award-winning Tim Kliphuis Trio is recognised as one of the world’s top string groups, combining jaw-dropping virtuosity and mesmerizing improvisations with a beautifully varied repertoire sourced from classical, gypsy jazz and North-European folk music.

With Scotsmen Nigel Clark (guitar) and Roy Percy (double bass), Tim Kliphuis has travelled the world, performed for royalty and at the United Nations.

The programme will include ‘Pictures at an Exhibition’ re-imagined (Baba Yaga, Promenade, Starry Night, Gnomus, Old Castle, Ritz Tower, Bydlo and Great Wave). After the interval, there will be a selection of Django Reinhardt favourites and American Songbook classics.
