Recruiting new members is one of the biggest challenges facing music groups today. Whether you're revitalising your group for the future, looking to diversify your ensemble, or simply want to grow your group, this webinar will offer practical advice and inspiration. Join us to explore proven strategies and fresh ideas for attracting new members and keeping them engaged.
In this session, we’ll explore the key ingredients of successful recruitment: understanding your group’s appeal, reaching the right audiences, and creating a welcoming environment for newcomers. We’ll hear from guest speakers Anita Bašić (founder of Bradford Accordion Band), Catherine Hughes (CEO of British Nordic Walking) and Joanna Burdett (secretary of Llysfaen Singers) who have successfully grown their own groups, sharing insights into what worked, what didn’t and what they learned along the way. Expect tips on marketing, community outreach, onboarding and retention.
We'll talk about:
- What motivates people to join music groups today
- How to make your group more visible and appealing
- Practical marketing and outreach strategies
- Creating a welcoming and inclusive environment
- Retaining new members and building long-term commitment
There will be an opportunity to ask questions during the event.
