How to recruit new members for your music group (online event)

Recruiting new members is one of the biggest challenges facing music groups today. Whether you're revitalising your group for the future, looking to diversify your ensemble, or simply want to grow your group, this webinar will offer practical advice and inspiration. In this session, we’ll explore the key ingredients of successful recruitment: understanding your group’s appeal, reaching the right audiences, and creating a welcoming environment for newcomers. We’ll hear from guest speakers Anita Bašić (founder of Bradford Accordion Band), Catherine Hughes (CEO of British Nordic Walking) and Joanna Burdett (secretary of Llysfaen Singers) who have successfully grown their own groups, sharing insights into what worked, what didn’t and what they learned along the way. Expect tips on marketing, community outreach, onboarding and retention.
