The Apostles: Elgar

Elgar’s largest oratorio has been chosen by our retiring Musical Director Michael Williams to be his last performance with the Society in this role. In a career spanning over 58 years at the head of the Society, Michael has conducted almost 300 concerts, including all of Elgar’s major oratorios, Bach’s Passions, many of Handel’s oratorios and operas and a range of other choral and orchestral works from Byrd to Britten.
