Promenade Concert Orchestra

The PCO comprises of an equal mix of professional and excellent amateur players from the Lancaster/Morecambe/Kendal area, with professional and young soloists and composers, and rehearse three times before each concert day(4 per year). It has released a double album cd with recordings taken at its live performances at The Platform in Morecambe following on from two previous single cd's. Over 15,000 have attended its, so far, 54 concerts, performing over 650 pieces of music. In 2014,the conductor and founder, Howard Rogerson received the Eric Morecambe Sunshine Culture Award and Highly Recommended Entertainment Award for his and the PCO's entertainment and culture brought to the town. Well-known musician, Brian Kay has been its President since inception.
