BBC Radio 3 want their listeners to meet your choir

After all the focus on instrumental groups with Get Playing, here's one for the vocal groups!

BBC Radio 3's popular Meet my Choir segment returns this September and they are looking for new choirs to feature.

UPDATE (27/02/17): The BBC is no longer taking submissions.

In the Meet my Choir feature, the BBC want to hear all about you and about your vocal group. They are inviting groups to make their own recordings, and tell Radio 3's listeners what inspires you to sing. What makes your vocal group special? What's your history? What does it mean to your members?

To feature, groups need to submit one or more music tracks (rehearsal or performance recordings) plus a speech track (e.g. a member's story, a conversation between several members, etc.). Recordings can be taken from a smartphone, laptop, a digital camera, or even an old-fashioned tape recorder. Send them what you record and they'll do the rest!

Every Sunday the BBC will select one choir, and edit their submitted recordings into a short feature for broadcast on the programme.
