Handel Messiah

It has been said that at any time someone, somewhere in the world, is probably performing something from Handel's Messiah. It rates not only as Handel's most popular oratorio, but as the most popular oratorio ever.  Most performances take place at Christmas or at Easter. Here is an opportunity to hear one of the most famous of all oratorios at a time of year when the nights are darkest and spirits perhaps a little low; so come into the warmth of Norbury Church and let Handel’s glorious music revive you. We are joined by the soloists of The Turton Consort, one of the north-west’s leading professional chamber choirs: soprano Leonie Maxwell, Counter Tenor Joseph Judge, tenor Ranald McCusker, and baritone Robert Brooks.
