Finding adventures abroad

At the Making Music Council meeting in October 2015 a member asked Making Music to facilitate connections abroad. So where can you start?

Get funding and run a Learn to Play Day with Music For All

Charity Music for All has funding available for community music group projects and also organises the annual Learn to Play Day.

Sing for peace as part of One Day One Choir

Launched in 2014, One Day One Choir is an exciting choral initiative aiming to promote peace and unity through singing together. On 21 September (International Day of Peace) choirs around the globe are invited to hold an event and sing on the theme of peace.

Opportunities to take part

There are lots of national projects, days, weeks, months and initiatives for amateur music groups to get involved in: from National Music Day to Volunteers Week these provide great opportunities to perform and learn, as well as to win awards and recognition for your group's hard work and skills.

Get Involved

There are plenty of opportunities to get involved in music making, whether you're looking to find a group to join (or a group to lead), a trombonist for your brass section or an opportunity for your group to take centre stage in a local or national project.
