New resource: model contract for working with Music Directors

Our new model contract for working with a Music Director (MD) is now available, having previously been withdrawn for review. Following work with the Incorporated Society of Musicians (ISM) and the Association of British Choral directors (abcd) the new version is a more robust and practical document that will help to establish a good working relationship between your group and your MD.

Ultimately, facilities offered by the library were maintained following consultations with moderately increased costs. However, this may not be the last word on cost-cutting relating to this resource. Whilst its importance to users has been demonstrated over the last year and diminishes the likelihood of it disappearing, only frequent high usage by a large number of music groups will ensure its survival in the long-term.

After a spring spent mostly researching, composing and tweaking arrangements, it is now just 6 weeks until the premiere of my song-cycle for the Jubilate Ladies Choir, so last night I ventured once more up to Pinner to visit a rehearsal and see how the ladies were getting on with the songs.
