Grants of up to £5,000 are available to local charities, community and voluntary organisations, CICs, and social enterprises offering activities and services to welcome and support refugees of any nationality who are arriving, residing or settling in Dorset.
This could include services and activities such as:
- supplying personal or household items including clothing, bedding, mobile phones
- community events and social activities
- befriending support
- advice and advocacy support
- mental health services
- childcare.
New groups who have been operating for less than twelve months can apply for up to £2,000.
The funding is made available by Dorset Council through the Dorset Welcome Fund.
