Are you the energetic and enthusiastic leader we are looking for?

Following the retirement of the post-holder, the Committee representing “The Axe Valley Community Choir” is seeking to appoint a new Musical Director to take the choir forward into a new era.

We are a friendly choir of 50 to 60 members with soprano, alto, tenor and bass sections. The choir is well-regarded in the local area. Therefore, we seek to appoint someone who would support the important community aspects of our choir.

Our retiring director led the Choir as well as providing the accompaniment. However, applications are welcome from directors for whom a supporting accompanist would be necessary.

The choir is led by a committee of members with the MD as an ex-officio adviser. 

This is a paid position. The remuneration will be negotiated with the successful candidate.

• We are aiming to appoint a new MD to start in the Summer Term 2024 on a date to be confirmed following the appointment
