Music Director

Bournville Clarinet Choir is a friendly thriving non-professional choir with around 20 players, performing a wide range of music from works by contemporary composers to arrangements of music of previous centuries. 

We rehearse every other Wednesday evening in term time (7.30 – 10:00 pm) at the United Reformed Church, Green Meadow Road, Birmingham B29 4DE.

Our new Music Director must be able to build on the standards and good work achieved so far, and be able to further expand the choir’s musical and artistic horizons.

We are looking for an all-round musician with a proven record who has significant successful experience of conducting ensembles and/or instrumental groups of a similar size and standard, with the ability to enthuse and inspire players and make rehearsals a rewarding experience. They may also be an active composer/arranger although this is not considered essential.
