Conductor/Music Director

Winchester City Festival Choir, is a non-auditioned SATB choir, based in Littleton near Winchester. We are seeking an enthusiastic new Music Director (MD) with effect from 1 September 2024.  This is a remunerated position with rehearsals each Wednesday evening from. 7.45 to 9.30. during usual school term dates.

We are a two- term choir with an optional extension for members as well as newcomers to join our summer sing for around 6 weeks at the end of May. WCFC perform two concerts each year around January and then during May collaborating with the Hampshire Choral Festival, where you will find supportive colleagues. An informal Christmas concert is also usually held at our rehearsal hall in Littleton. Our rehearsal accompanist is a professional musician who has supported the choir for over 15 years.
