Learn, develop and perform at the UK Choir Festival

The UK Choir Festival will be coming to Exmouth, Monmouth (Wales) and St Albans this autumn and will feature workshops and collaborative performances for vocal groups of all kinds and abilities. So if you're coming, make sure you stop by and say hello!

What is it?

Launched in 2016, the festival is aimed at providing support, training and performance opportunities for vocal groups. Choirs of all abilities, ages and style are welcome to attend. The festival is non-competitive, but very much ‘hands-on’ for everyone to watch and learn from each other while being guided and developed by workshop leaders.

It will involve practical and method teaching, and everyone will be involved. At the end of each day, choirs get the opportunity to rehearse and then perform (if they choose to) in front of each other and the panel of workshop leaders will give each choir written constructive feedback.

There will be opportunities to busk, make new friends and talk to the workshop leaders, as well as learn new techniques, brush up on performance, and hear about tips and tricks. Plus you can meet festival sponsor (and Making Music corporate member) Rayburn Tours.

When and where is it?

The festival will be taking place on three weekends in different locations. Groups can choose to attend one or both days for each location. (The Exmouth event is one day only):

  • 29 September: Exmouth
  • 13 and 14 October: Monmouth (Wales)
  • 20 and 21 October: St Albans

How much is it?

Tickets aren't available on an individual basis - they must be bought by the choir as a whole. Prices start from £29 per person/day. Choir leaders can reserve tickets for up to 14 days.
