Director of Music

<p>Budleigh Salterton Ladies Choir are looking for a new Musical Director for 2026. After 10 wonderful years our current director, Nicky Perry, is retiring in the New Year. We are looking for an enthusiastic and creative person who can help us build on our current success. The choir is 50 members strong and we sing a mix of light classical, popular music and songs from musicals. We practice Wednesday afternoons for 2 hours in St Peter&rsquo;s Hall Budleigh Salterton. We perform two programmes a year over three concerts - a Christmas programme (one concert) and a Summer programme (two concerts - one at Budleigh Salterton and one at Exmouth). We also perform at two nursing homes in Budleigh Salterton and Exmouth - a few songs from the current repertoire. We have an extensive musical library built up over 40 years but we also have an annual budget for fresh music so there is the opportunity for an MD to develop the choir in new directions. We offer an hourly rate which would be negotiable.
