About our group

Surrey Brass is a symphonic brass group based in Fetcham, Surrey, rehearsing on Wednesday evenings.  Primarily operating as a ten-piece ensemble, but with the ability to increase to larger forces, we play a wide range of music from classical to big band, film music to popular arrangements.  Our group aims to perform four to five concerts a year across Surrey and beyond.

The London Chorus (TLC), one of the capital’s leading and most historic amateur choirs, is recruiting a new Musical Director to succeed Ronald Corp OBE. 

Musical Director for In Ecclesia commencing September 2025

The Stondon Singers, an accomplished chamber choir specialising in a cappella singing from Byrd to Britten and beyond, seeks a Music Director to succeed Hilary Punnett, who has been appointed Assistant Director of Music at St Paul’s Cathedral.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and knowledgeable person, who is keen to develop the choir and challenge its abilities and repertoire. Experience of conducting and keyboard skills are essential, together with a deep understanding of voices and vocal technique. The post commences in September 2025.

Rehearsals: Tuesdays 7.45-10 pm in Chelmsford. Fees in line with MU rates.

The Music Director for Hart Male Voice Choir is responsible for the artistic leadership of the choir. This individual will lead rehearsals, plan performances and ensure the continued musical growth and excellence of the choir. The role requires a passionate and skilled musician who is preferably adept at working with male voices, fostering a positive and collaborative environment, and engaging with the community.

Our present Musical Director will be leaving in June 2025  and we are now looking for a  successor. This would be an exciting position for either an experienced, or novice, choir-master with a passion for choral work and opera, who has the drive to continue to take our musical programmes forward with an ever-respectful eye to the strong traditions HHCOS has built up over the years.
