Leamington Sinfonia is a thriving, ambitious amateur symphony orchestra based in Leamington Spa, with a proud history spanning over 40 years. Comprising around 70 dedicated musicians (minimum Grade 8 standard), the orchestra performs 3–4 concerts per year, exploring a wide-ranging and challenging repertoire. Our programming spans large-scale symphonic works, contemporary compositions, modern film and stage music, and choral collaborations.
We are proud to have composer Howard Skempton as our esteemed Patron, reflecting our commitment to both artistic excellence and adventurous programming. As a registered charity, we invest deeply in the wider community — nurturing young soloists through competitions, premiering new music by local composers, and fostering educational and artistic partnerships with professional musicians. We aim to raise the standard and joy of amateur orchestral playing while bringing inspirational performances to diverse audiences. The Musical Director collaborates closely with the elected Committee but is not a trustee of the charity.
