The Dream of Gerontius

Edward Elgar's The Dream of Gerontius is rarely performed locally and Aeolian Singers are excited at the opportunity to perform this dramatic and beautiful oratorio in a concert in Hemel Hempstead on 12th November.

Queen's 90th Birthday Come and Sing

Come, sing and celebrate the Queen’s 90th birthday with Cranford Choral Cranford Choral Society are hosting a Come and Sing concert on Saturday 18th June. The concert will feature music from royal weddings and coronations and will include Handel’s “Zadok the Priest”, Parry’s “Jerusalem” and “I was Glad”, Vaughan Williams “Old 100th” amongst other favourites. An afternoon rehearsal at 2pm will be followed by the concert at 7.30 in St Mary’s Church, Cholsey, Oxfordshire. Do join us to sing in the choir or just come to the evening concert.

Love is in the Air. A Concert of Madrigals and Love Songs

Join Aeolian Singers for this concert of madrigals as well as classical and modern love songs. Our varied programme includes Brahms’ Libeslieder Waltzes, dances which produce an amazing variety of moods through key, rhythm and dynamics. We also sing Six English Lyrics by Malcolm Williamson, Master of the Queens Music from 19775 to 2003, and several much loved madrigals including Gibbons’ The Silver Swan and Sweet Suffolk Owl by Vautor. The programme will include a piano solo, The Island by Frank Hutchens, performed by Anna le Hair and music performed by the Hollybush Recorder Consort.
