Crumpsall Concert Band is seeking a Principal Conductor to ideally commence during the Summer Term 2022 (negotiable depending upon availability of the successful candidate).
Having remained active and sustainable throughout the last two difficult years, we believe this is an exciting time to be joining our band, which possesses a proactive and supportive committee structure and dedicated membership.
The successful applicant will be Conducting us into our 30th Anniversary Year and hopefully beyond. We already have some exciting events and plans in development with Conductor/MD input encouraged.
Established in 1993, we are a community concert band based in North Manchester, with members ranging from the teens to 90+ years of age, from all walks of life. The successful candidate will be able to inspire and motivate the band, leading rehearsals with a sense of humour and respect for individuals to ensure the band continues to develop and grow. An accomplished musician, you will have relevant experience of conducting a large ensemble – wind band experience is desirable but not essential.
Whilst this is a voluntary position, we are committed to reimbursing reasonable expenses incurred as a result of fulfilling the role.
