Creative Civic Change has launched a new programme to enable people to use arts and creativity to make positive changes in their community.
The programme is a partnership between the Big Lottery Fund, the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation and Local Trust.
On Sunday 29 July, two teams of cyclists from Stoneleigh Youth Orchestra braved the wind and rain to take part in the Prudential Ride London Surrey 100 Peleton Relay event to raise money for the Orchestra’s Instrument Fund. Amongst the 8 team members was Ben See, who is currently paired with the Orchestra as part of Making Music’s Adopt a Composer Scheme.

The UK’s first ever national live music census took place in 2017. For 24 hours from noon on Thursday 9 March, volunteers in cities across the country went out and about to live music events, from pub gigs to massed choirs to arena concerts.
