Instrumental groups - get featured on BBC Radio this summer

This summer, ten instrumental member groups will be featured on BBC Radio as part of the Get Playing initiative, celebrating and encouraging amateur instrumental music.

BBC Music today launched Get Playing, a project that aims to inspire and bring together amateur musicians across the UK, while helping people discover or rediscover the joys of music making.

Breckland - Small Match Funding Grants

The Small Match Funding scheme forms part of Breckland Council's Community Funding Reserve, which is a group of funding streams that have been designed to empower groups and individuals within the district to deliver projects at a local level that align with the Council's objectives. It is an 'enabling fund' that aims to encourage 'localism' in addressing identified community need.

The Small Match Funding scheme offers grants to cover up to 50% of the total project costs.

Breckland - Large Match Funding Grants

The Large Match Funding scheme forms part of Breckland Council's Community Funding Reserve, which is a group of funding streams that have been designed to empower groups and individuals within the district to deliver projects at a local level that align with the Council's objectives. It is an 'enabling fund' that aims to encourage 'localism' in addressing identified community need.

The Large Match Funding scheme offers grants to cover up to 30% of the total project costs

Bransholme Trust

With donations from the Sir James Reckitt Charity and the Hull and East Riding Charitable Trust, the Bransholme Trust is able to offer small grants to charitable groups who are active in Hull. The funding is administered by the Hull Community and Voluntary Services (CVS).

Funding is intended to assist local voluntary and community groups with projects and activities that benefit Bransholme Estate residents.

Berkshire Community Foundation

Berkshire Community Foundation was established in 1985 and manages funds on behalf of a range of different donors and funding bodies to provide grants to tackle need at the grassroots of the Berkshire community. The Foundation will allocate applications to the most appropriate fund.

The Foundation aims to build stronger communities through giving grants to support the smaller groups which are doing vital work but have difficulties raising funds.

Aspire Grants

The Gentoo Housing Group, formerly known as the Sunderland Housing Group, offers the Aspire Grant scheme to anyone living or working with local people in the City of Sunderland.

The funding is intended to help local people improve their community.
