Danyal Dhondy's Still the Sirens is a new piece commissioned by Making Music specifically for leisure-time vocal groups as a companion piece to Fauré’s Requiem. The parts are available free to Making Music members until July 2020 in digital format.
The new work Still the Sirens is approximately 28-30 minutes long and you can now download the full score for free.
SATB (occasional divisi), solo Soprano/Mezzo, solo Baritone, plus either:
- organ solo
- 0.0.0.0; 184.108.40.206; 1 perc. (timps, tubular bell in C#), hp, org; solo violin; 1st violas, 2nd violas, 1st celli, 2nd celli, double bassi (recommended 2-3 players each section, but can be done with 1); or
- 0.0.0.2; 220.127.116.11; 1 perc. (timps, tubular bell in C#), hp, org; strings as per point two.
The free digital parts are available to members for the 2018-19 and 2019-20 seasons, after which the standard hire pricing will apply. Printed copies can also be made available on request at an exclusive member rate of £30. PRS performing fees will apply as usual.
