NYCOS is dedicated to encouraging singing for young people aged 0–25, providing them with new and exceptional singing opportunities. NYCOS was established in 1996 to deliver a national infrastructure for young people, teachers and choir directors to support and develop choral singing in Scotland.

Accompanist

The Edinburgh Bach Choir, Musical Director Stephen Doughty, has a vacancy for a rehearsal piano accompanist. We rehearse on Tuesday evenings at St Cuthbert's Parish Church, Lothian Road, Edinburgh from 7.15pm to 9.30pm. We would welcome applications especially from experienced accompanists. Accompanist & Assistant Musical Director

Teddington Chamber Choir is seeking an accompanist and assistant musical director from January 2019. We rehearse on Tuesday evenings in Teddington, south-west London, from 8:15 - 10:15pm in term time (usually 10 rehearsals a term). We sing a wide range of chamber music either a capella or accompanied by piano, organ or orchestra. We rehearse at St Mark's Church, Teddington and most of our concerts are held there. We tend to put on 2 concerts a year and an evensong service every two years in the spring term.

Leeds Festival Chorus is seeking to appoint an experienced accompanist to take up the position in January 2019.

The successful applicant will be expected to accompany rehearsals in North West Leeds on Wednesday evenings and occasional Saturday mornings, accompany auditions (triennial for the whole chorus and when required for new members) and to be available for rehearsals with soloists on concert days. The chorus usually performs in 3 or 4 concerts per year.

The Wycombe Orpheus Male Voice Choir requires a regular Accompanist for its Wednesday evening rehearsals in High Wycombe and to support the Choir’s busy Concert programme.

The post requires an accomplished and committed pianist and there is scope for advancement as we renew our musical team.

Accompanist

Guilsfield Singers are a friendly, mixed choir of some 40 – 50 people who meets Thursday evenings at the Old School in Guilsfield, a large village between Welshpool and Oswestry. Our previous accompanist, Paul Wardell, is now the choir’s Musical Director, hence the vacancy. The choir usually gives 4 – 6 performances a year, in Welshpool, Guilsfield, and the surrounding area.

Choral society accompanist

Bromyard Choral Society has a position for an accompanist each Tuesday evening 7.30 - 9.30pm in term time starting in September 2018, current remuneration is £30 per session. There is normally a concert at the end of the Autumn and Spring term and occasionally a social event with music making in June/July.

Pitlochry Choral (Pitlochry & District Choral Society) is an amateur choir of 50+ members based in Pitlochry, Highland Perthshire, now seeking a new Piano Accompanist to start in September 2018, to replace the current incumbent who is no longer available.

 

As a Registered Charity (SC0 40555) we aim to bring music appreciation and enjoyment to our members and to the Community. We aim to reach out to include the old, young and disadvantaged, and we also support other hard-pressed charitable causes.

Hertford Choral Society needs to recruit an accompanist from the start of the 2018/19 season as the current post-holder is relocating away from Hertfordshire.

The choir is a community group with over 130 members, regularly performing four concerts each season, usually at All Saints, Hertford, with professional soloists and musicians. Our programmes include a wide range of music from renaissance to contemporary, both sacred and secular, created and led by Musical Director, Derek Harrison.

Joint Accompanist

We are a happy troupe of gentlemen who cover all age ranges and perform at charitable events throughout Herefordshire and beyond about twice a month during our season, which runs from September to May. Our repertoire covers the broad church of pieces for male voices. We number around 25 which makes us ideal for smaller venues. We rehearse every Wednesday evening during our season at the Railway Club in Hereford.
