Accompanist

The Dunsford Singers is a really friendly, enthusiatic 40 - 50 strong SATB choir serving the whole Teign Valley community, just south of Exeter.  Our MD is the dynamic, good-humoured, talented and utterly professional Tim Pithers.  We're unexpectedly and urgently seeking a new Accompanist for January 2020. Ideally, we'd like to find someone mature, experienced and with a professional approach, who will work closely with Tim to challenge and bring out the best in us. There is always the opportunity to play at our concerts, too. We tackle a wide range of music, both clasical and modern.

REQUIREMENTS

• Accompany and support the children’s choirs for one hour each Wednesday evening during the school year term - 4:45-5:45pm
• Support the SYV Choir Director during rehearsals and be prepared to join in if required
• Be available to accompany two annual evening performances in the all choir concerts (Dec/June) and prepared to support the SYV in any additional opportunities that may arise. (NB There are also dress rehearsals before concert)

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

The Fellowship Singers of Shirley is a Community Choir based at St James’ Church House, Church Road, off the Stratford Road, Shirley, Solihull. The choir rehearses on a Sunday evening from 7.30pm to 9.30pm but takes breaks for Christmas, Easter and over the Summer. The choir performs three concerts a year usually in March, June and at Christmas. The choir is of mixed ability but do perform music in four-part harmony. The type of music includes some classical, pop music, songs from the shows and folk songs.

Warton Show Chorus, a new group, require an accompanist with good sight-reading skills. This is a paid post and may be combined with accompanist to Lancashire Lads Gay Men's Chorus. The repertoire for both groups is songs from stage and screen and contemporary songs, so an interest in these areas would be advantageous.

We are seeking a talented accompanist for NYCOS Perth Boys Choir which rehearses on Tuesday evening at North Inch Community Campus. The accompanist supports all sections of the choir in an eclectic mix of music from contemporary Scottish composers and from around the world. Expenses may be available.

Barnt Green Choral Society, has about 60 members and was established in 1951.  We rehearse on Monday evenings, from 19.45 to 21.45, at Barnt Green Parish Centre and perform three main concerts a year, at least one with instrumentalists and professional soloists.    
We have a wide repertoire from Baroque and Renaissance music to oratorio, from opera choruses to folksongs and popular music from various times.  Our choir is not auditioned and has a good reputation in the area.

We are looking for an accompanist for our rehearsals (Tuesdays 7.30-9.30) and potentially our concerts (depending on repertoire). While we welcome applications from those at all stages in their careers, we are seeking an accompanist with the ability and skills needed to provide professional standards of performance in a choral setting to a large amateur choral society performing to high standard across a variety of repertoire. Competitive rates for rehearsals and concert fees. Rehearsal venue very accessible for public transport and within easy walking distance of Didcot Parkway.

We are a non-auditioned choir of one hundred and twenty voices in South London. We rehearse between Clapham and Wandsworth Commons (SW11) and are one of the most experienced and accomplished choirs in the area. We perform three concerts a year (St Luke’s Church, Ramsden Road SW12 8RQ), employing professional orchestras and soloists. The choir is open to all regardless of ability or experience.

We’re a friendly, enthusiastic rural community choir, aiming for excellence! We’re looking for a new, experienced choral accompanist for September 2919. Our current accompanist is leaving to do a Post Grad. Course in Composition. 

Dunsford is a village in the Teign Valley, 20 mins from Exeter. If required, a lift is available from Exeter with our excellent MD, Tim Pithers.

Monday evenings 7.30 -9.00 pm.

£45 per session.

Concert accompanying available. Concerts in December and June in local venues.

Côr Meibion Llangollen Male Voice Choir.

We are a small male voice choir of around 20 voices in the beautiful town of Llangollen situated on the River Dee. Llangollen, the home of the world renowned International Music Eisteddfod which was born from the rich musical heritage so prominent in the area.

We perform regularly at many local establishments, in particular at The Hand Hotel, in Llangollen, where we also hold our weekly rehearsals every Friday evening at 7:00 p.m.
