Peebles choir InChorus is looking for a new Musical Director.

InChorus is an established SATB choir of around 80 members who love to sing all kinds of contemporary music, mainly a cappella, from rock and pop to modern classical. The choir from Peebles in the Scottish Borders is well travelled, enjoying a wide range of events from concert halls and festivals to weddings and smaller performances. A charity itself, InChorus has raised thousands of pounds for other charities.

The choir is seeking to appoint a new Music Director to start in September 2019 to build on our established record and provide stability for the years ahead. The applicant will find a friendly and enthusiastic mixed voices choir and hard-working committee with a loyal and growing following. This is a paid position. Remuneration and professional fees are commensurate with experience and expertise, and guided by professional recommendations. Rehearsals are weekly on Mondays during term time from 7.30 to 9.30pm, including most Bank holidays and some half-terms.

Signature A Cappella Singers are looking for a Musical Director to inspire and support us in refreshing and revitalizing our chorus, and continuing to develop our skills and repertoire.

We are members of the Ladies Association of British Barbershop singers, and are the current Small Chorus Champions. It is important to us however to embrace many forms of a-cappella music and we actively seek out songs of different styles and genres.

Capital Chorus is a men’s a cappella chorus, members of the British Association of Barbershop Singers, and we’re seeking a new director with a vision to continue the chorus’s growth and development. We’re an enthusiastic and diverse group of 30 men, hardworking, quick to learn, receptive to new ideas and with a keen sense of fun. We have a rigorous audition process and use riser recordings to review individual progress. In 2018 we won the most entertaining chorus award at BABS Convention. Our new MD will be energetic and inspiring.

We are a very friendly community choir looking for a new MD to start from September, due to our current MD moving out of county.

The choir meets Thursday evenings 7.30 to 9.30 with a 15min tea break.

We are based in Polegate, East Sussex. We perform two,concerts a year for local charities.

Demsired skills. Would need to be a competent pianist, with a good practical knowledge of different styles of music from classical to contemporary and popular. 

Would be responsible for choosing repertoire, arranging soloists and accompanists for concerts.

The Esterhazy Chamber Choir is looking for a new MD to start in 2022. Based in Lewes, we are an auditioned SATB chamber choir with around 35 members performing classical works (predominantly a cappella) from 16th - 21st centuries. We are looking for an MD with vocal training and orchestral experience as well as an emphasis on musicality and expression.

Warwick and Kenilworth Choral Society are looking for a new Musical Director.  We are a non-auditioned choir, which loves to sing a wide variety of choral music – madrigals, 20th century works and oratorios have all featured in our recent programmes. There are up to 80 SATB voices and we work hard to produce performances that have received good reviews in the local press.

Lyrical soNGbirds is a lively, dedicated group of about 18 women who take our music seriously and  wish to recruit a new MD to start in September 2019 to work with us to develop our choir to its maximum potential.

An accomplished musician, you will have experience of conducting choirs, and be willing to encompass a variety of musical styles. You will demonstrate commitment, reliability and organisational skills. Our ideal candidate would be able to accompany the choir on the keyboard at rehearsals, and incorporate modern voice training techniques into rehearsals.  

The Stevenage Symphony Orchestra are seeking an enthusiastic Musical Director who will work with the orchestra during rehearsals and concerts in order to skilfully and sensitively develop musicality, knowledge and enjoyment of the music we play.
