MUSICAL DIRECTOR REQUIRED  FOR THE CHERITON SINGERS, HAMPSHIRE

TO START FROM  1st JANUARY 2019

We are a friendly (non-auditioned) group of 30 plus singers who perform two contrasting concerts per year. Recent performances include Brahms’ Requiem, Puccini’s Messa di Gloria and Queens’ Bohemian Rhapsody. We have also sung Evensong in Winchester Cathedral twice in the last two years.

VACANCY FOR MUSICAL DIRECTOR - September 2019

We are looking to appoint a new Musical Director from September 2019.  The post becomes vacant on the retirement of John Bate, founder of the Choir and Director since its inception.

Grantham Choral Society is seeking a Musical Director to start in September 2019. The choir was founded in 1963 and currently is made up of approximately 60 enthusiastic members. Numbers are on the increase. Rehearsals take place on Tuesday evenings from 7.30 – 9.15pm and a rehearsal pianist is employed.

Part time paid position. Role to increase the number of particpants and direct/conduct the ensemble to performance level.Charitable organistion. 1162027.

Our present MD, who has been with us for the last 18 years, is sadly moving away next month and we need to replace her as soon as possible.

We generally hold two main concerts per year, at Christmas and in the Spring/Summer. We also sing in care homes, day centres, garden centres and shopping centres. We like to sing a large variety of music, ranging from sacred through to songs from shows and sing in four part harmony.  We generally meet on a Monday evening in the Byfleet/Weybridge area.  We have a membership of approximately 20.  

A new Musical Director is required for Thomas Coats Memorial Choral Society for the season starting January 2019, as our current MD takes up a new role with Ulster Youth Choir. We are a well established choral society of about 80 members,  based in Paisley and in good commuting distance from Glasgow. The choir rehearses on Tuesday evenings from January to mid March, with a small number of Friday rehearsals, and performs one concert a year in March. We perform from the major choral repertoire with an orchestra and have a strong link with the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland.

South Holland Singers (SHS) is seeking to appoint a new Musical Director.

SHS is a well-established choir that celebrated its 70th Anniversary last year.

The choir is an un-auditioned SATB choir of around 60 singers ranging in age and ability but all enjoying the pleasure of singing.     The choir performs 2 concerts each year. Our repertoire is diverse; in the past few years we have performed works by Mendelssohn, Brahms, Handel, Rutter, Vivaldi, Gilbert & Sullivan as well as carols and hymns.
