Choir leader

Generations choir is a smallish  ( 15 to 20)  group of enthusiastic people who enjoy singing.  We  sing a range of, largely, popular songs from Abba to Adele, Beatles to Bono, Sound of Music, folk songs etc.  We rehearse weekly at Castle Vale Community Campus, Birmingham -Thursdays 5.30pm 'til 7.30pm.  W e perfprm  regularly at community events, in Nursing/Residential homes, shopping centres, and have taken part in three musicals!  Generations was chosen as a name because we have/want to attract all ages.

Treasurer

We are  choir of 20 ladies who are eager to learn and have fun. We meet on Tuesday evenings from 7 45pm until 9 45pm. We hold a summer concert in July and A Christmas concert. In addition to this we sing at the Remembrance Service held in Woking town centre and at thr Guide Dogs for the Blind association carol service. We sing a variety of music from Faure's requiem, folk songs to songs from the muiscals.

The Athenaeum Singers of Warminster in Wiltshire, celebrating their 40th anniversary in 2018, are currently seeking an experienced and dymanic Music Director to join the choir in September 2018. 

 

Conductor

Ingatestone Choral Society (ICS) is a long established SATB choral society and the present conductor is looking to retire at Christmas 2017.

ICS has a repertoire consisting of choral works such as Verdi's Requiem, with the odd newer piece, eg Goodall's Eternal Light, joining with local choirs to put on the bigger works, plus carols at Christmas in one of the local churches. ICS is of a reasonable standard with most of the 40 members sight reading quite well.

Blackheath Halls Orchestra Conductor/Musical Director

Blackheath Halls Orchestra is seeking to appoint a new Musical Director to start in January 2018.

Blackheath Halls has a vibrant and thriving community engagement programme of which Blackheath Halls Orchestra is an important component.

We are looking for an experienced conductor to develop the orchestra, building on its strong foundations and celebrating its ethos of striving for the highest artistic value whilst remaining inclusive and accessible.

Musical Director

South Norfolk based Harleston Choral Society is seeking a new Music Directorand Conductor from January 2018.HCS was founded in 2000 and is a friendly, inclusive, non-audition choir with approximately 45 members.  We have practices on Monday evenings at St John's Church, Harleston, where we perform two concerts a year at Christmas and in June.  The successful candidate will be familiar with the traditional choral repertoire and be able to work with people with a variety of musical experience.  The position is salaried.

Conductor for Community Orchestra

Community Music Whickham and Swalwell ( CMWS) a local charity based in the heart of Tyneside seeks a musical director who will set up and guide a new Community Orchestra in the fulfilment of its musical potential and promote its image in the community.

Conductor

Redditch Orchestra is a symphony orchestra founded in 1948. The Orchestra is made up of 35 members and it is enlarged for concerts to 40-50 players depending on the programme. Concerts are usually held in Redditch, Studley and at Artrix, Bromsgrove.  

We are now seeking a conductor with the vision, energy and musicianship to lead the orchestra for the coming years. S/he must have experience of leading orchestral ensembles and of working with a diverse range of talents.

Musical Director - Spalding Choir

South Holland Singers (SHS) is seeking to appoint a new Musical Director.

SHS is a well-established choir that celebrated its 70th Anniversary last year.

The choir is an un-auditioned SATB choir of around 60 singers ranging in age and ability but all enjoying the pleasure of singing.     The choir performs 2 concerts each year. Our repertoire is diverse; in the past few years we have performed works by Mendelssohn, Brahms, Handel, Rutter, Vivaldi, Gilbert & Sullivan as well as carols and hymns.
