Conductor/Music Director

Helensburgh Orchestral Society is a friendly amateur orchestra with around 40 members who meet in Helensburgh on Monday evenings during the autumn and winter seasons. 

Our long-standing Musical Director Robert Baxter has decided to step down, so we are looking for a new conductor to lead the orchestra in rehearsals from January 2022 in preparation for a concert on 26th March, ideally with a view to establishing a longer-term relationship.

The successful applicant will be conducting a well-established ensemble in up to three concerts per season in late November and February, and mid-May. We are searching for someone who can conduct the orchestra up to and beyond its current excellent standard, and work with our Executive Committee to programme and publicise our season of concerts.

Musical director required for Stanmore Choral Society to start either April 2022 or September 2022. Stanmore Choral Society is a small friendly choir based in Stanmore, Harrow, outer London. We sing mainly sacred and secular choral works, light opera, jazz and music from shows.  Rehearsals are on Monday evenings.

The Bloomsbury Music Group (BMG) is looking forward to appointing a new director of music for the Bloomsbury Woodwind Ensemble (BWE).

BMG runs two wind ensembles: BWE, founded in 1993 for about 45 adult amateur players of flute, clarinet, oboe, bassoon and saxophone and the ‘Bloomsbury Band of Flutes and Clarinets’ (BB), formed in 2010 for about 25 adult players in response to the growing length of our waiting list.

Both ensembles aim to provide adult amateur woodwind players with the opportunity to promote and develop their musical ability and ensemble skills in a relaxed and informal setting, to build a varied repertoire of woodwind ensemble music, and to perform in public. We do not audition and our members span a wide range of backgrounds and abilities.

Stoneleigh Choral Society is looking for a new Musical Director.

We have been astablished for over 70 years. The choir is run by a voluntary committee, elected by the members. We are currently few in number (less than 20 ) largely due to members moving away and concerns about singing again after the pandemic, but we are keen to continue to make music together, increase our membership to a more sustainable level, and enjoy the benefits that singing together brings.

Bourne Choral is looking to appoint a new musical director, the previous MD having left due to pressure of work. Established over 30 years ago, it is a mixed non-auditioning choir of currently about 25 adult singers. Rehearsing on Monday evenings, we have a versatile accompanist and perform 2 or 3 concerts a year, the repertoire including a variety of musical genres. We are looking for an enthusiastic leader based within the South Lincolnshire area.

We are a mixed voice choir formed in 1970 with approximately 30 members.

We rehearse in Heaton, Bradford, from 7.30pm to 9.30pm on a Wednesday.

We perform 3 to 4 concerts annually

Cranford Choral Society (CCS), near Wallingford, is looking for a Music Director (MD) to direct and train the choir from January 2022. 

We're a friendly bunch, happy to take on a wide range of musical challenges. We've sung Bruckner's Mass in B Minor and David Fanshawe's African Sanctus. But we've also loved tackling show tunes and folk songs.

Our Music Director plays a big part in shaping our plans and encouraging new members.
