Conductor/Music Director

Serenata Women’s Choir is looking for an enthusiastic musician to assist our Musical Director with weekly rehearsals and performances.

Salisbury Community Choir (SCC), a non-auditioned, friendly choir of around 120 members is seeking a Musical Director to replace our current MD who retires in July.

The Fellowship Singers of Shirley (FSS) is looking for a new Musical Director to start as soon as possible.  The choir (formed in 1952) is seeking a friendly, supportive MD to continue to provide musical direction to this long-running group and to help attract new members.

The Fellowship Singers of Shirley is a fairly small community choir.  The choir rehearses on a Sunday evening from 7.00pm to 9.00pm at St James' Church House, Church Road (just off the Stratford Road), Shirley, Solihull, West Midlands B90 2AX.

Bromley Oecuminical Singers are looking to appoint a Musical Director to work with an established mixed group (SATB) choir. The choir is based in Bromley (London)Details are set out below

Harrow Choral Society is an auditioned SATB choir of 80 to 90 members based in Harrow, Middlesex. Our current Music Director is leaving in July of this year after 30 years of service and we are seeking a new MD to start in September 2022.

Musical Director to lead rehearsals for our Adult All Ability orchestra, during which performers should be coached and conducted.  The other duties are to advise the committee with the repertoir, which will be copyright free music or arrangements by orchestra members.

Cardiff Polyphonic Choir, one of Wales’s leading amateur choirs, is seeking to appoint a new Musical Director to succeed David Young, who will be stepping down in June after seven highly successful years.

The choir, a mixed voice, auditioned group of around 45 singers, enjoys an excellent reputation for the quality of its concerts, working regularly with professional orchestras and soloists, and performing sacred and secular music from Baroque to the present day.

Rehearsals are held on Thursday evenings at Howells School in Llandaff, Cardiff.

The longest running independent youth orchestra in Sheffield is looking to appoint a talented and motivational Musical Director to lead and inspire us, to start in September 2022.  

The orchestra members are aged 11–19, grade 5+, and from all walks of life in Sheffield and surrounding areas.  We meet in the centre of Sheffield on Saturdays 10:00–12:30 during term time, give two formal concerts a year alongside other ad-hoc performances across the region.  The orchestra also organises an annual residential weekend away in the Peak District National Park.

We will be recruiting for all sections of the orchestra, so a Musical Director with the drive and links to recruit would be beneficial.

Halifax Concert Band is looking to appoint a Conductor/Musical Director to start as soon as possible (negotiable depending upon the availability of the successful candidate).

Established in 1979, we are a community concert band based in Halifax, West Yorkshire, with approximately thirty members ranging from 18years of age to retirement, from all walks of life. The band has only had three Musical Directors during its 42-year history, the first our inspirational founder who conducted us for 17 years and the second for the following 22 years.
