Conductor/Music Director

Westbury Park Orchestra is based in North Bristol and rehearses on Monday evenings at Red Maids Junior School.

Before lockdown we were a thriving Community Orchestra led by Ben England with 50 people regularly attending rehearsals. The orchestra comprises a good representation across all instruments - violins, violas, cellos, clarinets, oboes, flutes, bassoons, timpani and even an ecletic brass section of trumpets, trombones, saxes, French horn and tuba.

Derby A Cappella are an enthusiastic and friendly men's chorus who aim to build on the work achieved over seven years with our current MD, who wishes to step down and re-join the baritones.

Laudamus Choir wishes to appoint a new Musical Director to start in September 2021. 

Founded in 1993, Laudamus is a SATB choir of around 25 auditioned singers who rehearse on alternate Sunday evenings in Addlestone, Surrey.  We are seeking a knowledgeable and enthusiastic Musical Director to help us extend our varied repertoire whilst attracting new singing members and wider audiences.

We currently sing a wide range of music, both classical and secular, aiming to present at least two concerts a year plus a Come & Sing event.

Music Director

InChorus is an established SSAATTBB choir of around 70 auditioned members who love to sing all kinds of contemporary music, mainly a cappella, from rock and pop to modern classical. The choir is based in Peebles in the Scottish Borders where it enjoys enthusiastic support from the local community. It is well travelled, enjoying a wide range of events from concert halls and festivals to weddings and smaller performances. A charity itself, InChorus has raised many tens of thousands of pounds for other charities.

We are looking for an experienced musical director who has the enthusiasm and infectious energy to teach and inspire one of our amateur choirs based in Brackley (Northamptonshire). Our group of adult community choirs, www.gleeclubuk.com, are run by professional musicians and filled with people who love to sing. Starting from September 2024, we are currently running on a Thursday evening and you need to be able to commit to term-time, weekly 90-minute rehearsals with at least one performance per term.

Location:           Hockley, Nottingham

Salary range:    £22,250 (pro-rata) per annum

Hours:              3 days initially (flexible hours – to include the possibility of some evening and weekend work

Starting Date:    1 September 2021 or at convenient date to the successful candidate

Music for Everyone is a dynamic, independent, community-based arts organisation with over 35 years' experience in devising and running innovative music participation events across Nottingham and the East Midlands. It enjoys a strong reputation for providing people of all ages with high quality opportunities to make music, develop creatively and have fun, all within a dynamic and caring environment. It provides progression pathways, culminating in specialist ensembles for both singers and instrumentalists. 

Singchronicity is seeking a new Musical Director to take our friendly Chorus forward when we resume singing together again in the near future. We sadly lost our valued MD, shortly before the first lockdown in 2020, and we are now looking to rejuvenate our Chorus and attract new members.

We want an enthusiastic and committed person with a background in 4- part Harmony and barbershop to take us forward in a way that builds on our strengths. Someone who shares our vision and can offer skills to further develop our singing and performance in a dynamic and motivational manner. 

Pitchcraft is a 50-60 strong, auditioned a cappella choir rehearsing on Tuesday evenings in Edinburgh.  We sing original arrangements of a wide variety of music including our trademark mashups and medleys, aiming to offer high quality and high entertainment value as well as something a little different.
