Double Bass

The FSO is looking to recruit good players to join its regular bass section.  We are a very friendly orchestra giving 4 concerts a year in major concert venues in the Hampshire / Surrey borders and rehearse every Thursday evening in Farnborough.  Our repertoire is very varied so there is something for everyone, and basses are an extremely valued part of the team!  More details and how to apply can be found here.

Tenor Horn players

Vacancy for Eb Tenor Horn players. All welcome.

No problem if you are a bit 'rusty' - we also have a training section that provides a stress-free way to

return to playing.

Fourth Horn Player

We are actively seeking a horn player to come and join the orchestra as 4th horn.  Players should be Grade 7 standard minimum, as we choose fantastic but often challenging repertoire.  Ideally, applicants should already have significant playing experience in a large symphony orchestra. We meet regularly throughout the year on Monday evenings and regular attendance is desired.  We give 4 concerts each year.  Find out more about us here: www.gos.org.uk
