Calling all brass players

Following a busy 2018 and our recent strong placing at the areas; Moulton 77 Brass Band are looking forward to the next chapter in their storyand are keen to welcome new members. We are a friendly, lively group of musicians with aspirations of moving into the third section but we need more like minded players to swell our numbers.

 

We rehearse on Tuesday 8pm-9.45pm

All players welcome, particularly cornets and trombones.

Instrumentalist

We are on the lookout for violinists, violists, cellists, double bassists, oboeists, bassoonists, french horns, tubas and harpists. No auditions, just come along and play 

Anyone interested is welcome to come along to a few rehearsals on a trial basis.  Full membership costs £50 per term. Student or otherwise in need £30 per term. Professional musicians are welcome to join us without charge.

Rehearsals are on Tuesday evenings from 8.00pm to 10.00pm at St. Mildred's Church Centre, Bingham Road, Addiscombe, Croydon, CR0 7EB.

Tenor Horn Player

Ocean Brass are looking for a tenor horn player to complete our tenor horn team.

Based in Southampton, we rehearse once a week on a Thursday evening. We are a friendly, enthusiastic, third section band and aim to have a good balance of concerts, contests and social activities planned throughout the year.

Trombone players wanted - Grade 7/8 standard

Trombone players needed for a high quality amateur orchestra based in Sutton Coldfield, West Midlands

Co-principal Bassoon

There are no formal auditions: membership is subject to an initial trial period.

We have a relatively short run of rehearsals for concerts, so players need to be at least Grade 8 standard with good sight-reading skills. Orchestral experience is essential.

Percussion

If you're a Yorkshire based percussionist looking for a new challenge, get in touch, we would love to hear from you. We're particularly, but not exclusively, interested in hearing from a tuned specialist. We aim to play challenging yet accessible repertoire to a high standard. Rehearsals are in Wakefield on Monday evenings with concerts throughout the Yorkshire region.

Experienced non-professional string players

Experienced string players with a minimum of grade 5 (AB) standard to join the orchestra playing standard string orchestra repertoire plus some new works. Adam Kornas is our new conductor. 

Rehearsals on specific Tuesdays at Appleton Village Hall (WA4 4RT) starting at 8.00pm (check web site www.valeroyalstringorchestra.co.uk  for specific rehearsal dates). Concerts held in the Great Hall, Vale Royal Abbey and St Peter's Church Little Budworth.
