Barnet Symphony Orchestra is a vibrant, engaging and dynamic orchestra based in North London. Throughout the year we play and perform classical music with a fun and enjoyable approach. We aim to achieve a high standard of performance but we truly believe that, as an amateur orchestra, enjoyment is the most important part of any music making experience. This means that our members look forward to Monday evenings from both a musical and social perspective.

We are currently recruiting new String players to York Light Orchestra - specifically 1st & 2nd Violins and Violas

We welcome new players of all abilities who are willing to attend on a regular basis and committ to playing at concerts appropximately 5 times a year.

Rehearsals are on Thursday evenings 7.30pm in Acomb Methodist Church in York.

There are no auditions - why not come along for a few rehearsals and see if you like us!

The Norwood Wind Ensemble is a group of over thirty talented amateur musicians, based in Addington Village,Croydon. Rehearsals are held on Sunday afternoons. Their repertoire is varied, ranging from wind band classics and marches to classical, popular and modern compositions. They are always on the lookout for new committed and able players, so if you are interested in joining our group please do get in touch.

We are Sound Force Big Band, 17 musicians who enjoy playing popular big band arrangemets. Formed some 20 years ago,we play music from 40`s,50`s, together with more modern numbers. With a regular female and male singer, our repertoire, the style of music and our versatility has incresed.

We are very fortunate to have a professional musician from the Coldstram Guards as our regular Musical Director. Rehearsals are on Thursday evenings at Lane End Community Centre, near Marlow, Bucks 8-10pm.
