Abergavenny Symphony Orchestra wishes to appooint a new Leader for September 2018.

The orchestra is a community orchestra with players of varying age and experience, from Grade VI to professoin, perfoming works from classical to 21st century.  We usually give 3 main concerts a year, also a Children's Concert and a "come and play" workshop day.  We rehearse in Abergavenny on Sunday evenings.

The orchestra has enjoyed a continuous increase in its playing standards over the last 16 years, allowing us to perform works by Brahms, Sibelius, Shostakovich and Mahler, among others.

Vacancies in all sections of this friendly amateur orchestra. Performing a huge variety of repetoire, we are quickly building up a reputation for delivering enjoyable concert programmes for the whole family! Fortnightly rehearsals on Fridays, Nottingham.

Looking for enthusiastic musicians to join our informal and friendly group

We are looking for Cellists Grade Four and above for our friendly orchestra. We rehearse Saturday mornings 10.30-12.30 at St James' Church, Martin Way, Morden SM4 4AR

There are no formal auditions: membership is subject to an initial trial period.

We have a relatively short run of rehearsals for concerts, so players need to be at least Grade 8 standard with good sight-reading skills. Orchestral experience is essential.

Play a brass, wind or percussion instrument? Age 14+ and around grade 5 standard or above? Interested in joining a community concert band? We're a friendly welcoming band which is always looking for new musicians. We're particularly looking for percussionists, brass and saxophone players. Barnet Symphony Orchestra is a vibrant, engaging and dynamic orchestra based in North London. Throughout the year we play and perform classical music with a fun and enjoyable approach. We aim to achieve a high standard of performance but we truly believe that, as an amateur orchestra, enjoyment is the most important part of any music making experience. This means that our members look forward to Monday evenings from both a musical and social perspective.

We are currently recruiting new players to York Light Orchestra - especially strings and brass

We welcome new players of all ages who are willing to attend on a regular basis and commit to playing at concerts appropximately 4 times a year. The music we play is around grade 4+ standard but we don't mind if you are rusty.

Rehearsals are on Thursday evenings 7.30pm in Acomb Methodist Church in York. OUr season runs from Early september to late July. No rehearsals in August.
